How long does it take to learn to read?

A real time study of Indian children learning to read with Fantastic Phonics

In 2014 Fantastic Phonics was invited by Forty^K agency to implement Fantastic Phonics into villages around northern Bangalore.

We spent two weeks training women from local villages how to teach phonics. As part of the project, we also demonstrated to the teachers how to establish a classroom technique.

This video illustrates how Fantastic Phonics works in a classroom situation. It shows the children starting with phonemic awareness, then moving to the story, then finally to the video. At the end of the video, you can see the children reading unassisted.

The duration was 40 minutes.
